Certified Scrum Master Practice Test – Complete Prep, Practice Exam & Study Guide

The correct understanding is that the Daily Scrum is primarily a meeting for the Developers. It is designed as a time for the Development Team to synchronize their activities and create a plan for the next 24 hours. While the ScrumMaster can attend the Daily Scrum, they are not required to do so. Their role during this event is more of a facilitator and coach to ensure that the Scrum process is being followed rather than being an active participant in the Developers' discussion.

The emphasis here is on the autonomy of the Development Team and their responsibility to manage their work. The ScrumMaster supports the team in delivering value and following the Scrum principles but does not dictate the structure or necessity of their meetings. The Daily Scrum is focused on the team's progress and is not meant to be a status update for the ScrumMaster.

This awareness allows the ScrumMaster to step back and create an environment where the Developers feel empowered to take charge of their work, reflecting the Agile principle of self-organization.
